Come and experience life in the Alentejo cork oak forest. You only have to pick where you want to sleep: Cork Lodge, Til’s Cottage or the Main Farmhouse. We will be expecting you!

We stayed in the Cork Lodge cabin and it couldn’t have been nicer - all the amenities you could ask for, lovely surroundings, friendly staff, and very friendly pets! The host could not have been nicer and so interesting to talk with. The star filled night skies were an added bonus that I won’t soon forget.
We stayed 7 days in Till's Cottage and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Mónica gave us an introduction of the house, showed us the important places, what we could do. She was always available when we had questions and gave us good advice for visiting the places around Maroteira. We have chosen Maroteira because of the central location to Évora, Estremoz, Redondo, Vila Viçosa, Borba, Reguengos de Monsaraz. Maroteira has also their own activities, like cork trekking, walks, etc. We were lazy and did a 2-hour Jeep tour. Jose, our driver, told us a lot of stories about the property. He showed us the spring, told us a lot about cork and the harvest of cork, the olive plantation, the vineyards and the excellent wine. You have to taste it! It is one of the best wines we had from the Alentejo. We had a real great time. But the most relaxing thing was a swim in the infinity pool. Sometimes the family joined us and we felt really like we belong to the farm. It was a fantastic feeling. Thank you very much for welcoming us and we will come back again!!!
4 of us (husband, myself and our 2 boys; 9 and 12) stayed only one night in the Cork Lodge. Cute cabin facing the cork forest. David, who was our cork trekking tour guide, took great care of us. The location was absolutely breathtaking and perfect for my boys to run around with all of the dogs! It was a great break from the city since we had been traveling from Porto down south all the way through Spain. We loved being able to stay in the countryside of Portugal with the bonus of staying at a property filled with cork trees, olive groves and vineyards. Our boys enjoyed it so much they wanted to move there and were so sad to leave.
Originally booked the main farmhouse for 1 week and enjoyed it so much we extended our stay. Unfortunately, the main farmhouse was booked so we had to move to Til’s Cottage - also very nice. Owners, Phil and Marge, are warm and welcoming, and the dogs and cats are most amusing and fun. Great pool, beautiful views. Really enjoyed the Jeep tour of the cork farm. Highly recommended. Our guide was a lot of fun and informative. Not only does the farm produce cork but is also in the business of wine making, which by the way is excellent. This is definitely a place to stay if you want to relax and enjoy the countryside and small villages. Well located for visiting nearby towns of Evora, Estremoz and Elvas.
The Cork Tour was awesome. The hostess was very friendly. The farmhouse had many family antiques that added to the experience.
